ive got an idea!

The people behind the show Yo Gabba Gabba should call Family Force 5 up and have them be on the show. I'm not kidding, they would fit right in! Family Force 5 is a Christian band but is also pretty popular in the mainstream world with their crunk rock music. They are also fit in electronic and dance music inside their tunes which would be easy material for the show. They could teach kids how to do a dance move or something! The makers of the show have managed to get people like Elijah Wood, Jack Black, Tony Hawk and Jimmy Eats World on the show, so I am sure they could get FF5 on there. I wish they would......

the end....

I was looking online the other day because I was curious how the "Freedom Tower" progress was going because the designs looked pretty interesting when they were first shown pretty soon after the 9/11 attacks happened. The Freedom Tower was to be the building to take the spot of the fallen World Trade Center and also have a memorial around the building in memory of the innocent who were killed on that day. It would have a brilliant design of a massive building that looked like it would be made out of glass but would actually also have a mixture of sturdy steel products. The height would measure up to be 1,776 feet high, being a symbol of the year that America was founded.

What I found out about the building is that I couldn't find much new information about the Freedom Tower so I figured it was probably a cancelled or a delayed project. As one last resort I typed the name into wikipedia and received a redirect to another wiki page titled "One World Trade Center". Creepy name. Is it just me or does this sound like the stuff about the One World Government in the book of Revelation in the Bible? To add on the note it sounded like the design of the building had been altered slightly. A large part of the space in the building is already being planned to be rented out to the Chinese government to do business in. It does not even open until at least the year 2013. I don't get why the people of the Port Authority of New Jersey and New York couldn't have changed the name to something like "World Trade Center 2" or just keep it as the Freedom Tower. It doesn't even make sense to name it ONE World Trade Center unless they truly meant ONE world which is prophesied in the Bible as the end of time. This is an article about the name change The above picture is one of the old design of the building and below is the new one.

Terminator Salvation Review

This is a little late since I saw the movie last week but I am now done with school for the Summer! Before I say anything about the movie I want to say that I have not seen the other Terminator movies yet or the TV show (but I have been to the 3-D attraction at Universal Studios if that counts towards anything). The movie did make a lot of sense though. I have found that a lot of movies have been trying to do that lately were they create a story so that you do not need to see the other movies (The Dark Knight, Star Trek, Superman Returns)

I thought that the movie was great for entertainment. Really good special effects, way better than some movies that have been out in the last year like Indiana Jones 4. The cast was great except I did not like that two of the main characters played by Christian Bale and Sam Worthington have the same exact haircut and wear similar clothes making it hard to tell which is which. To add on the note of Christian Bale, a few moths ago there was a big leak that came out of him yelling at a photographer on set. I can see how he would be in that mood for that was his character and he was probably still in that mindset. I would just say he is a good actor but he finds it hard to get out of it. Other good actors get like that too like Heath Ledger and Johnny Depp.

The only things bad in that movie that I can think of was some bad language and also a lot of violence, but making it between humans and the robots. I would give it 4 and 1/2 out of 5 stars and recommend it for anyone over 13 years old and probably fans of the movie Transformers. By the way next week I am going to go see the movie UP by Pixar and so I will be posting a review on that.

Relient k concert!

As you have probably seen on my blog I purchased tickets a few months ago for a Relient k concert. The date finally came and I got to see the best band EVER! They were awesome! Not only did they do a concert for us but they did 2 songs that they have nevery played before and they said that they are on the new record called "Forget and Not Slow Down" coming out in October-ish time. The venue that they played at did not have any seats so I managed to make it to the front row! I also did get pushed and shoved by a mosh pit but nothing too bad (hey it's a Christian band!). The vocalist of Relient k (Matt Theissen) also went crowd surfing during the song "Sadie Hawkins Dance".

The bands that opened for them werre Runner Runner and Owl City. Runner Runner was almost as good as Relient k and had a whole bunch of energy! Owl City was kinda mellow and wasn't too fun to watch in concert. I think they are much better on a CD.

I also walked out with more than I walked in with! I got a guitar pick that was thrown out to the crowd and was used by Matt Hoopes who is one of the Relient k guitarists. Vincent was also there along with my dad. Vince managed to get the list of songs of the night that was being used by the Relient k bassist. As I bought a Relient k t-shirt, I also got a Runner Runner CD for $1! I also got to meet all of the members of Runner Runner and get their autograph on my ticket!

Last Friday Annabel and I went to a dance party with some friends from an old homeschool group we used to be in. I had a good time dancing, playing guitar hero, trampoline jumping and also trying to recognize people from what they looked like a few years back.

Memories

I have been working on the annual Zandi home video. It's pretty fun editing all of these memories and seeing it all happen again. Every now and then I just like to remember how much I have seen, done, and accomplished throughout the last year. Here is an outline of some of the highlights of my past year. I don't think I have even blogged about some of these.

-I have done planning and two Eagle Project days and also received the rank of Eagle

-Done many hours of practice and then performed live a few times both "The Best Christmas Pagaent Ever" and also "The Lifehouse Everything Skit"

-Improved greatly on my guitar skills without any classes in the past year.

-Went to many youth group event including 80's night, two photo scavenger hunts, raging waters, and golf n stuff

-I went to my first "real" concert with Stellar Kart, Kutless, Disciple, and Esterlyn. I even met the bass player in Stellar Kart.

-I have really gotten into Christian Rock and I think I know almost every song they play on Air 1 radio.

-I saw at least 6 big Summer movies in theaters

-I have become friends with many new people

-I got a laptop and an electric guitar

-I helped a few people with moving, and also got a summer job helping out with painting inside a house.

-I'm starting to piece together what I going to do with my future.

-I got my driver's permit

-I saw Lakewood High's fall concert and Grease play

-I dyed my hair blond to dye it blue and when that went away I later put red in. Recently I got another hair cut and now my hair is back to dark brown.

-Faced a man who I wonder how he sleeps at night after what he does to people everyday. A liquidator who claimed he was God. Yeah right!

-I helped the Republican party make some phone calls to remind people to vote for John McCain.

-I also watched history as the first African-American became President (not a fan of him though)

-Found out that I will be getting another new sibling soon.

-Our family got Disneyland passes and have gone several times.

-I was asked to go to a Winter Formal and had a great time there.

-I have logged many miles traveling on on foot and on my bike to various places such as the mall and library.

-I went to a fun dance party with some friends from an homeschool group

Well that's just some things I have done and I think that will keep you somewhat up to date of what I have not blogged about.

Pan American Festival

For as long as I have known my Boy Scout Troop has done the flag ceremony for the Pan American Festival each year. Each boy in the troop gets a chance to carry some sort of flag that he gets to sign up for. This year I got to carry the flag for Mexico. Later on that day I also helped out with my Troop fundraiser which was a hamburger stand.I got to take orders and give out change to the customers. I looked around the park for a little bit but there wasn't much that interested me in the booths this year. Still had a good time doing the event.

I am getting really bad at updating my blog lately but I should be updating it as soon as school ends! SOOOOOOOOOO CLOSE!! I have to go work on some reports now. AUGH! Also there is just one more week until the Relient k concert!!!!!
