Eagle Project-Part II

I have finished my 2nd(and Final) Eagle Project day. I will put up a full post soon but for now I put up a few pics before I go to sleep.

Eagle Project-Part 1

Day 1 of 2 is done of my Eagle Project! I had about 17 boys come in and volunteer their time for my project. These scouts varied from new scouts to older, more experienced Venture scouts. I also had a few adults come in and help out with the project. Some adults from the Troop came out of their way and just stopped by to help even though their boys could not make it.

Within a 7-hour time frame, I led them to build some furniture I bought with donations, while others primed and painted the walls, and yet more shampooed a rocking chair that was donated. We also installed a dimmer switch with help of Mr. Blackwell (An electrician who goes to my church). I have some pics posted here and the rest are in this album.. The next week is coming up fast. We will be installing carpet, blinds, curtians and valances.

Eagle Project shopping

I did some Eagle Project shopping today so now I just need to buy the the blinds for the room, Lunch on the Project days, and some miscellaneous Nursery items. Thank You for all of the donations!!!

I just talked to a carpet guy today and ordered some carpet for my project. He gave me a discount and is going to come help guide us to lay it out on the 2nd project day.I got some paint donated by Wal-Mart yesterday (That was HARD to get). Later today I am going to Sears to pick up some more paint supplies.
