New Year's Resolution

Most people pick their New Year's Resolutions to be things like losing weight or being nicer or something like that.However,I am not like most people as my New Year's Resolution is to become closer to God. I will continue reading my Bible throughout the year as I am trying to reach my goal to read the whole Bible in 1 year. I started in mid-October and I started with the New Testament.(I am already in 1 Timothy.)

Potter's Field Ministry

Today our church had a special guest doing a sermon;The Potter's Field Ministry.The team doing it was a potter and his wife.While the potter would be molding the pot,either he or his wife would be talking. The message was about how God can use and change people even if they are broken.He told the message with his own story of how he knew Christ to relate with the message. The message was very powerful.I would recommend you going to see this ministry.

Discovery Science Center

As a result of the rain on Saturday all of our busy day's plans were cancelled.Since we were not doing anything,mom and dad brought us to an unknown destination.I had a few ideas of were we might be going, one of them which was right.

The trip ended in Santa Ana at the Discovery Science Center.It was the day after their newest exhibit had opened.Their main theme at the time was about Egyptians and mummies.They had a few different kinds of snakes and other bugs and beetles(In cages).

After that exhibit we went in a hurricane simulator,which simulates a hurricanes noise with a little wind.We also tried out the earthquake simulator,which shakes a small room to the scales of some of the biggest earthquakes.We took the elevator to the next level and I tried out the baseball radar gun and thew a ball at 35 MPH.After doing a few other activities,we headed home.

Levi's Dedication

My brother, Levi Zandi was dedicated to the Lord yesterday morning. Along with Levi, a few other children were dedicated. One of the other children was baby Adelaide Van Mersbergen.

Pastor Kevin Boyce did the ceremony and he had a fun time saying names like “Van Mersbergen”. First he introduced each of the families to the church then he described what a dedication was and put a little oil on each of the children’s heads. Pastor Kevin asked some questions like “Will you help Levi on his walk with Christ” to the church and the families. Then he prayed for all of the children.

After church we had some friends and family over at our house to celebrate Levi and Adelaide’s dedication. We had some hamburgers that were barbecued and some cake too (The cake was not barbecued!). Everyone held Levi and talked until the party was over.

Today our family went to a new kind of store:Wal-Mart Supercenter.The inside looked more like a shopping mall than a Wal-Mart.When I walked inside I could not see the walls of the store.This Wal-Mart had a deli,a bakery,a tire center,a garden center,and a grocery store plus everything esle a regular Wal-Mart would have.

A few hot weekends ago I went to see "Mr. Bean's Holiday".The movie's plot bases around Mr. Bean(Rowan Atkinson) on a prize vacation to Cannes.Along the way he falls into trouble and goofy situations.The comedy also features Willem Dafoe(The Green Goblin from Spider-man) as a filmmaker.This movie is very funny and I would recommend this film to anyone of any age.
